7¼" gauge locomotives

These tend to be designs of locomotives that appeal to me and will be mostly narrow gauge

Quarry Hunslets

I have a gallery of photos on this site

A number of Hunslets have passed through the hands of Station Road Steam:

Manx Steam and Model Engineering Club have a photo of a rack loco in use on their line

At least one Orenstein & Koppel rack loco has passed through the hands of Station Road Steam:

Swiss Vapeur Parc have a rack section on their line but have very little information on their site (which is only in French and German)

Romulus (and derivatives)

A rather anonymous website on building a Romulus and Hunslet (does anyone know this guy's name?)

Tinkerbell (and derivatives)

Peter Beevers is building a couple of large locos, a Tinkerbell and an Hunslet

A number of Tinkerbell's and derivatives have passed through the hands of Station Road Steam:

0-4-2T
0-4-2T
0-4-0 + 0-4-0 Garratt
0-4-4T
2-4-2T

The Moors Valley Railway has a number of Tinkerbell-based locos:

No. 3, "Talos" (0-4-2T)
No. 4, the "original" Tinkerbell (0-4-2T)
No. 9, "Jason" (2-4-4T)
More photos of "Jason" (2-4-4T)
Many of the Moors Valley Railway locos are similar to or share characteristics with Tinkerbells.

(*) Parkeisenbahnen were an initiative by the former socialist governments in several Eastern European countries (notably East Germany) to build railways for children to learn how to operate real railways - a bit like an apprenticeship. Many of these are now operated as pleasure lines for everyone to enjoy.
