Jagsttalbahn V22

Two of these locos were built by Gmeinder in 1965 for the Jagsttalbahn in southern Germany. Both spent the majority of their working lives their and only recently was V22-01 moved to the Öchsle Schmalspurbahn e.V. On the Jagsttalbahn, the two locos were often to be seen running in multiple back-to-back.

Although it requires work, the quality of the bodywork makes it worth converting the model to be more prototypical; especially as so little is available for an 0e layout.

The model is built on a 3-axle chassis (it should be only 2-axle) and it only drives on one of those. Along with it being 3-rail AC, it makes more sense to find or make an entirely new chassis rather than try and modify the existing one. Jürgen Wedekind produced a chassis for this loco many years ago but, as this is no longer available, there are few options other than to build one yourself.

2-rail DC conversion

sb Modellbau produce a remotoring kit for this loco (if you want to use the old chassis).
